    1. Wash the squids and cut into small pieces / slice evenly

    3. Slice remaining half of the onion, tomato and chop the ginger
    4. On a frying pan, add some oil and saute the sliced onion, chopped garlic together with the grinded ingredients, gong until the texture is softened
    5. Add the tomato, continue cooking for another 5min, then add the bay leaves, lemongrass and the sliced squids
    6. Lastly, add the seasonings (salt, pepper, chilli powder and turmeric powder) with some water and let it boil till the squids are fully cooked and the water is reduced / thickened
    7. Once cooked, remove from the stove and serve it immediately with some steamed rice and a dash of lime juice
