    8. Take 1 tsp Raisins
    9. Take 8-10 Cashew Nuts
    10. Make ready 2 cups Cube shaped Jack fruit Pieces
    11. Get 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Green Chilli paste
    12. Take 1 tsp Chilli Powder
    13. Take 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
    14. Prepare 1 tsp Garam masala Powder
    15. Take 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
    16. Get 4 Onion
    17. Get 3 Tomato

    Instructions

    Steps to make Jackfruit Biryani (Chakka (ചക്ക)/ Kadgi/ kathal Biryani):

    1. For Rice Preparation: In a pressure cooker add ghee/ oil. Fry few cashew nuts & raisins. Keep aside. Now add 1 cinnamon,5 cloves,5 cardamom pods &1 bay leaf. Add water (for 1cup rice 2 cups water). Bring to boil. Add 1 cup rice (Jeerakasala rice been used for this preparation). Cook till 3 whistles. Keep it aside
    2. For Masala: Chop the Jackfruit into desired cubes. Boil water & add Jackfruit pieces, little salt & cook for about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain the water & allow them to cool. Marinate it with little turmeric powder,red chilli powder,garam masala, ginger garlic paste salt & little water/ curd. In a pan add oil & shallow fry the marinated Jackfruit. Keep it aside.
    3. In same oil, add 2 chopped onions & saute well. Now add 2 green chillies, ginger garlic paste & saute well. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder,garam masala powder, tomato (1) &salt. Add shallow fried Jackfruit & mix well. Now add cooked rice & mix well. Cook under cover for 5 minutes.
    4. Garnish with roasted cashew nuts & raisins, chopped coriander leaves. Serve with Pappad, pickle & salad.
    5. Salad Recipe - Chop onions, tomatoes & green chillies finely. Mix well. Add curd& salt.
